Naiyana Turner (12) Untitled 36 x 24 framed Mixed Media Reach of Legacy: My idea for my project was to sketch the countries Jessye Norman performed in. Starting by sketching out different countries and sorting there position. Out of England, Germany, Italy, and the U.S. I then decided that the U.S should be in the middle since she was born in the U.S. Then, I outlined the sketches. After that I started on the patterns in the countries based of their flag colors. Next, I started on the base layer of water which was a neutral blue. Once the base layer was finished I started stippling darker into lighter blues. Starting with a purple and blue mix and fading out into a light blue.
